Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum

Your Support Matters

For over three decades The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum has been providing educational and recreational opportunities to citizens of San Diego County and Southern California.  Our volunteers are our valuable resource because unlike most museums and non-profit organizations, our volunteer group (over 850 strong) provides the expertise and manpower for all of our programs and activities.  These folks restore and maintain our antique equipment and staff our historic reenactments, concerts, and other events throughout the year. It is through their committed effort and loyalty that we have consistently grown our collections and increased program offerings. Your tax-deductible donations, large and small, are critical to helping our volunteers meet the increasing costs of operating our antique equipment, machine and repair shops, blacksmith and weaving barns, and food concessions during our demonstrations and events. Your tax-deductible donations, large and small, enable our volunteers to provide affordable educational and recreational experiences for our visitors. It is through the supporting contributions of people like you that our volunteers are able to keep history alive in northern San Diego County. Please donate to The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum because your support matters.

Ways to Support the Museum

 Annual Fund Campaign

Each year we highlight a different special project to which the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum Annual Fund Campaign will be directed.  This year’s goal is to finish upgrading the food service facilities along the museum’s parade route. Our current facilities along the parade route which were built in 1986 have been worked hard and are worn out. They are no longer adequate for our need. Please send $75, $100, $250 or any other amount to AGSEM Food Court Building Fund Annual Giving Campaign. Please mail your donation to:

Your Remembrance Program

"Your Remembrance Program" was created and currently chaired by Board Member, George Bohn to help support the Museum's Endowment Fund.  The program provides members and friends of the Museum a way to recognize or honor individuals who are or have been important in their lives and in the history of the Museum.  All donations towards the Remembrance Program are placed in the Museum's Endowment Fund with only the interest generated being used to support the Mission of the Museum.  All those being recognized or honored and their donors will have their names permanently inscribed in a "Remembrance Book" on display in the Museum Office, names listed in The Ignitor and will receive a recognition card.
