Forty June 16 Greg Hayden Show pictures. Our Show day begins with breakfast served 6-9AM in our Club House. Below left: 7:30 AM. Our Trustee President Jeanette Stevens ordered these pink John Deere shirts for our distaff members to wear. Left Sharon Martin, right Myrna Bagge. Behind them on the left is Paul Kuns and George Bohn. Below right: Trustee Vice President Bob Morley. Jeanette urged all of our Trustees to wear these pink John Deere shirts @ show. Bob Morley is the only guy I saw wearing pink Saturday. Bob IS a John Deere man, once upon a time Bob owned fifty of them. Bob also is a team player and a good sport.

Above left and right, a new wrinkle in our shows, 8AM Safety Meeting for EVERYONE who will drive anything during our show day. Above right, the fella in the white tee shirt facing everyone else is Steve Stipp, newly elected in January Trustee who has taken on the responsibility for Show Safety. Every Volunteer who drove had his drivers license checked then issued a distinct wrist band. Below left: Nicholas Foraker with HIS tractor. His dad Stanley Foraker proposed to our Board to allow children to drive garden tractors during our Show Parades. Retired US Marine now long haul truck driver Stanley is gone a lot. When home he spends as much time as he can with his son Nicholas, and it is because of him that he instigated this. Below right, that is Stanley in the red cap, white tee shirt, gray shorts facing the kids.

Above left and right: Myrna Bagge met David Haskell in Tulare, an annual mid April Show 270 miles north of us that a lot of our members attend. David is a self described Sacramento Bureaucrat who works for a regulatory agency. But now is trying to begin his own unique Cowboy Poetry business. David's sister Helen, who is a Seal Beach Artist, visited David during show. Later in the day I had a chance to speak with both of them. Below left: children can pan for gold and strike it rich. Below right: How to make Indian Pottery. As I took these pictures this guy called me Jerry Garcia, told me he has some of my albums. I do not usually hear that when I wear my hair in a pony tail, as I do Show Days. UPDATE June 22: Paul "Bear" Bradford emailed me, Paul has a nice website Bear Creek Pottery “Creativity is my compass, to guide me in an artistic pathway. Finding the right fusion of earth, fire and air is the ongoing challenge that beckons me.”

Above and below Quilt Show in our Assembly Building. Below left: Virgil White's Mom Geneva made her Life Quilt, featured on the back cover of our June 2007 The Ignitor, in 1982; after retiring from teaching all eight grades in rural Missouri one room schools from 1932 to 1978. Below right: Displayed on black background in our entry various very nice print media provided by fledgling Guajome Park Academy artists.

National Hand Weavers Guild officials tell us that NO WHERE else in the USA does this exist. Over fifty farm home and barn looms, ranging from the US Civil War circa 1860's to the 1960's; located in one place. Below: Rock Crushing demo. The link leads to a six minute video of us Rock Crushing October 2006 Show.

Our Altman Taylor is our June Show theme tractor. Below left: a McCormick Farmall Cub powered crop sprayer. Below right: Joan Hollenitsch wielding her frying pan chases Chicken Thief Patrick Myers.

Above left: Julius Schnell operating one of our two Caterpillar D8's. Donated by San Diego Gas and Electric this Cat was built in 1954 and weighs 20 tons. During our parade when the operator cannot see right in front of his machine, members walk along each side for safety. Left, Cheeeeeeeeese Burger Jack Lester, right Andy McCune  Above right: Potluck Chair Margaret Stewart hitches a ride with Julius. Below: Virgil White operates his Caterpillar D9.
