Above far left: Friday August 25, 2000 at 8:15 AM and above left 8:20 AM Our Leader Steam Engine Row honcho Chuck Goebel is ready to leave. Above right: 8:25 AM Your's Truly Greg Hayden comfortably dressed for a desert trip in front of my F150. This picture was taken with my camera by Chuck. Above far right 11:37 AM Blythe, CA.

Below the next day August 26th far left and left: Da Crew. Left to right: Bill Baldwin, Jim Church, Robert Critz, Rich Eckert, Dan Jaques and Pat Mackin. Below right: Carson, California, Ryder Rental tractor and flat bed trailer. Parked in a mortician's parking lot across the alley from Pat Mackin's Prescott place. Below far right: Truck engine.

Above and below far left: Yavaipai Regional Medical Center and our boilers. The contractor that replaced the boilers placed them here. Pat Mackin and Rich Eckert, who covered the boilers with these blue tarps, are the reason we have these boilers. They heard on the local grapevine about the job and approached the hospital decision makers who agreed to donate them to our Museum. Below left, right and far right. First the truck and trailer was parked across this parking lot driveway and we tried to put the first boiler onboard, but the angle was bad. The truck was moved out into the middle of the street.

Above left, right and far right: The truck moved to the middle of the street and loading the first boiler. Below far left. loading the second boiler. We lifted the first boiler from underneath, the second was suspended from the forks. Below left: Pat Mackin puts the borrowed lift truck back on his own vehicle trailer, towed by his Tool Truck. Below right and far right: Late Sunday August 27 back at our Museum. We used our 1950 Model 15B Bucyrus Erie Crawler, operated by Dan Jaques, to unload the boilers

Above far left: Virgil White, white tee shirt back to camera, was awaiting our return. You'll note that the trailer is dollied since Robert Critz had to go get fuel. He and Dan Jaques still had to return the tractor and trailer to the Carson, CA, Ryder truck rental. Above right, far right and below far left: that is Jack Lester's fifth wheel trailer where we stored this yard art a few years. Below left and right: you can see that Robert is back with the rental tractor.

Above far left: Chuck Goebel, left: Dan Jaques. Above right and far right. Sunday evening Virgil White suggested I get some used carpeting to cover the boilers before putting on the vinyl tarps. Monday morning, the first carpet company I phoned sent me out to a huge house where the onsite crew helped me load plenty of carpet. Made a big difference, after protecting the boilers a few years the tarps are just fine.
