Above left: 5:30PM. Members dance to Calliope Music while waiting for our Potluck dinner to begin. Paul M. (Mike)
Freiling's pickup truck with Paul E. Freiling's Calliope was parked alongside our Farmhouse. Above right, left to right,
Betty Keylon and Joan Hollenitsch place Potluck offerings. Below: 6:00PM. Behind me our Farmhouse west doors have been closed
to hold back the hungry mob outside, while our Volunteers who set up our Potluck get first pick.
Above and below: 6:06PM. Our Farmhouse doors are open and our hungry mob spills in.
Below right: 6:23PM. For the first time in our history EVERYONE on our grounds is welcome to our Potluck.
Exhibitors, Vendors, Crafters, Campers and Members. That is Heritage Village Glass Blower
Bruce Gruba in blue.

Joan -- she told me -- has two plates. Above right: The McCune Family mugs for my camera. Left to right:
Andy’s friend Martin Kincheloe, a new member as of January 2007. He came to us via Costa Mesa BSA Troop 711.
Paul and Colleen with Andy behind. Below left: Foreground left to right Rudy Dremely and
Your Remembrance Secretary George Bohn. Behind them you can see another first for our group. This is the first time
we have had live music to listen and dance to during dinner. Nitro Express Band
is the name of the group, a much in demand very popular local band. While below right: Members and Vendors and Exhibitors
are still in line to eat.
Above left: 6:27PM. Alice and Bob Swaim. Above right: a variety of desserts await our horde. Below left:

Below right: 6:46PM. Our current Trustee President Jeanette Stevens dances with an Early
Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association (EDGE&TA ) Branch 22 Exhibitor.
Above: 6:50PM. Jeanette spoke briefly to the gathered crowd. Some long time members were dismayed when Jeanette
broke with tradition and we did not have a business meeting. Some members perceive that Jeanette has instigated a lot of
changes at our place since taking our helm in January. What Jeanette has truly done is actively solicit and listen and implement
member suggestions. We tried a whole bunch of different things at our June Show.
And one of the new
things Volunteer member Stanley Foraker Instigated, Formulated and Directed --
children drive garden tractors in our daily show parade -- inspired
another member. By our second weekend Bruce Yoho had fenced off a piece of ground behind our California Barn, acquired four
garden tractors, and five teen age helpers. The sign read
Children Drive Garden Tractors $1.00 (aka
Grandpa Bruce's Inexpensive Childcare Service). The kids taught all children drivers how to operate, then walked alongside as the
children drove slowly in first gear around the hilly piece of ground.
Below left: 7:00PM. Ashley, left, and Dan
Jaques. Ashley is our Museum Collections Curator. Ashley delivered Lee Henry Jaques at 1:00 AM June 16. This was the
first time we saw Ashley since. Grandma was taking care of Lee Henry.
Above left: 7:05PM. John Deere Ice Cream Maker Mike Stevens converses with one of our Vendors. I spoke with this woman
Sunday. She is from Sweden, a Bead Jewelry maker and she told me she is looking forward to our October Show. Below right:
