May 26, 2007. With the end of our Flower Fields Season, Chuck Day
has taken down his Flower Fields, Tractor Drivers and Volunteer Schedules.

Sunday May 6, 2007 Jerry Hass emailed me the below four May 5 pictures. Below left: North end of our Lower Boarding Station. Below right: Lower Boarding Station, tractors and wagons.

Above left: Tractors and Lower Boarding Station. Above right: Enter Sweet Pea Maze.

Screen capture of May 8, 2007 Volunteers and Drivers schedule.
Below photos and captions Greg Hayden.

I had planned to take these pictures Mothers Day, Sunday May 13, but something came up so I did it Tuesday May 8. Above the lone woman on today's crew, LeVeare Adams, selling $4.00 per adult tickets to ride. Not a lot of visitors, it was 90 degrees F -- 32.22 degrees Celsius -- down here on the coast today.

Above three of the four guys manning our Lower Boarding Station. Left to right: Dave Carroll, Richard Meyer, Charles (Chuck) Allee. Below: Trustee, Construction Superintendent and May 8 Crew Leader Patrick Myers leaving our Lower Boarding Station.

Above left: Extra tractors and wagons. Above center and right: Our Lower Boarding Station and crew left to right: Charles (Chuck) Allee, Charles (Red) Bradshaw - looking away, Richard Meyer and Dave Carroll. Below left: Here comes a tractor. Below center: Tractor driver Ron Hetrick. Below right: Docking at our Lower Boarding Station.

Above left and center: Disembarking riders. Above right: Shady waiting area. The couple on the right apologized for getting into my picture. I told them I was waiting for them. I could take pictures of empty chairs anytime. Below left: Remember Pat Myers? He was leaving at the beginning. That is Pat up there on the Upper Road. The building is a hotel. Remember that blue porta-potty. When we get up on top you will be able to see the other side of it. Below center: New riders on board. Below right: Pulling away from our Lower Boarding Station.

Above left: View of gardens to the left. Above center: View of Flower Fields to the right. Above right: Entrance to the Sweet Pea Maze. Jerry Hass view of this area at the top of this page. Below left: Overlooking Sweet Pea Maze. The ride up the hill was just too bumpy for me to take any pictures. Below center: Now we are on the upper road stopped at our Upper Boarding Station. That is John Sigurdson waiting for us. You can see John unlatching our swing down side loading door. Below right: That nice couple disembarking.

Above left: While the wagon was stopped I stood up and took some telephoto shots of our Lower Boarding Station. That is Pat Myers down there. See the back side of the blue porta-potty? Then I heard "Greg, Siddown!" Turning I found that it was John who said that to me. We were ready to go. Thank you, John. Above center: He is hard to see back there in the shade, but John Sigurdson is waving goodbye. Above right, a shady rest area with a great view. Below left: View down to where our spare tractors and wagons are parked. Below center: Telephoto view of previous picture. BTW, in case someone does not know, that is the blue Pacific Ocean down there. Below right: Passing the hotel pool area, on the left.

Above left: We are now going down hill very slowly. You can see a work crew in the field to the left. Above center: Even though we were going down hill very slowly our driver Ron Hetrick had to keep braking since that truck did not seem like it was going to move. But finally it did. Above right: the truck and trailer that was in our way. Below left: Work crew walking alongside. Below center: You can see our Lower Station in the distance. On the right in the picture you can see that, in addition to our side door, we have steps on the rear of each wagon. Below right: Gardens to the left.
