1911 Fairbanks Morse 1557 CID -- 25.51 liters -- 15-25 kerosene tractor

A visitor doubted the authenticity of this tractor, so August 19 I took the above picture.

According to Online conversion of weights and measures, metric conversion. One cylinder 266.7 mm x 457.2 mm, 25.51 Cubic Liters, 250 RPM, 11.19 kW drawbar, 18.64 kW flywheel, 7257 kg total weight. 1 speed forward, maximum 4.023 km, 1 speed in reverse. Pat Mackin and Richard Eckert are no strangers to these pages. You will find them driving this vehicle, our Euclid, working on Steam Engine Row and around our gas engine exhibits. Below left to right: Pat Mackin and Rich Eckert. Pat and Rich were instrumental in getting the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in their home town of Prescott AZ -- 400 miles, 644 km -- to donate these 1978 boilers to our Museum, in August 2000. Pat and Rich were the Major Spark Plugs and did MUCH of the labor building our all metal boiler house. While these boilers are ready to run, first we need to increase the make up water storage capacity, for our 'once-thru', atmospheric exhaust, no condensate return system.
