The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum & the California Blacksmith Association offer three levels of Blacksmithing Classes at our Museum. Classes are open to anyone interested - please see course details for specifics. We welcome first-timers who would like to check out the craft. Those who attend more then once, are expected to join both of our sponsoring organizations.

California Blacksmith Association certifications can be earned through these courses. All classes start promptly at 8am with fire lighting and a thorough lesson/demonstration, then provide plenty of forge time for the project of the day -- and anything else you may want to work on.

Our Blacksmith shop is usually open until 3 or 4pm, sometimes later. Cost is $5.00 per class to cover part of the cost of fuel and materials. Don't forget to bring a lunch and drinking water along with your tools. For questions about the type of tools needed, please contact class instructors, before purchasing.
