MW Construction Carpenters starting to hang rock on our New Kitchen in our New Assembly Building
-- pictures below.
Noon Friday May 25, 2007. Below six Greg Hayden pictures:
MW Construction Carpenters, who were on their lunch break, framing our new Assembly Building Kitchen.
Before we could construct our new Assembly Building we had to move two displays from the area. Virgil Whites'
Indian River Grist Mill and our Sawmill
Why are these Museum Volunteers lined up facing the camera? They are watching our Ribbon Cutting ceremony, left below,
opening our new Assembly Building January 21, 2006. The above picture was made by combining four photographs into one.
Please ignore Chuck & Bettys extra legs. Lower left, left to right: President Tom Garrison, Director Rod Groenewold,
Guajome Park Academy 8 grade Language teacher and Cross Country coach Debbie Duffy. Below right:
our new 7,500 square foot -- 696.8 square meters - Assembly building. The above picture and two below Greg Hayden.
All the rest David Denny pictures.
The two pictures above our members are in line for our potluck lunch buffet. We had to build a new Assembly hall since our
membership outgrew our 4,000 square foot -- 371.6 square meters -- Clubhouse / Weavers / Show Breakfast &
Bakery Shop, which will be converted to display space when our new Weavers building is completed.
Below construction pictures.
You can see our new building proximity to our California Barn, and, across our entry road from the Barn, our Admin Building and Gift Shop.

Above: the first insulated metal siding panel goes on, pictured inside and out. In the above right picture
you can see our Robert T. Johnson Harvester Barn to the left. Below left: Volunteer Member and our Electrical Contractor
from Riverside CA, West Coast Electric owner Mark Panzone steadies one of the commercial electrical
modules a lift truck carries to our new building. Below right: the rear of the building showing the air conditioner
units and GPA students helping clean up. Member Volunteer Jack Lester, currently serving on our Board of Trustees
as Secretary; owns LA Cascade Refrigeration in Van Nuys CA, and was our HVAC Contractor.

Our General Contractor MW Construction
of Escondido CA is owned by Member Volunteers Mike and Jeanette Stevens. Jeanette currently serves on our Board of Trustees.
MW Construction largely completed the building. Tom Garrison our President, Bob Morley vice President, Construction Superintendant
Patrick Myers, Museum Live-On Attendants Cecil Morton, Dar Jewell & Keith Richards; Volunteer Paul Smith, and perhaps others
cleaned the interior concrete slab and epoxy coated the floor. They dug trenches and installed underground flexible
plastic piping to carry roof and gutter drain water well away from the building. The gutters and down spouts were
installed by MW Construction. Below left Tom Garrison in the trench, Keith Richards on the tractor in the distance.
