Dar Jewell April 2002
Boy Scouts
Dar Jewell
The Boy Scouts have come through again. We had two Eagle Projects finished during this Ignitor period.
The big one was building and installing the gates in our storage area. Matt Carter of our Troop 744 took
on the project and did a BANG UP job.
The back gate is far more than we expected as it is a professional job.
He installed the gates we had in front and did a good job there too. THANK YOU MATT!!!
The other project we finished by William Vickery of Troop 727. William installed cement pads under
the bleachers on the short side of the parade route so the bleachers are all in line and level.
We did not realize how much work that would be until he got into it.
THANK YOU TOO William.
The Scouts do a big service to our Museum. They cut our workload down so our members can play.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE SCOUTS AND PARENTS WHO WORKED ON THESE PROJECTS.
A BIG THANK YOU this time to ALICE SWAIM.
Dar Jewell
ALICE comes down at least twice a month and starts working pulling weeds. trimming roses, or spraying
around with weed killer from almost the moment she gets out of the car until they leave. This kind of
dedication is really appreciated and noticed. Her and Bob also make it to every event and work in FOOD
SERVICE or the bank. THANK YOU TO BOTH OF YOU.
