For the last issue of 2007 I have chosen to share with you the newest collection to hit our shelves.
Longtime member Harry Wessels has been kind enough to donate his collection of the “Yearbook of the
Department of Agriculture.” His addition of over 60 yearbooks has given our museum archives a collection
that covers the following years: 1869, 1875, 1885, 1887-1888, 1893-1896, 1898-1901, 1904, 1909-1918, 1920,
1923-1928, 1930-1967, 1969-1974, 1976, 1980, 1982, 1984-1986, 1990 and 1992.
The first eight pages of the yearbook from 1907 are reproduced as our centerfold. With the wonderful
