Barb and Bud Watson during Summergrass, August 25, 2007
Summergrass 2007
Bud and Barb Watson
Boy, what a great show we had, thanks to our great Volunteers. Bud and I could never of done it without our
Volunteers, they really worked hard. A big thank you to Fernando Acune, Marie Allee, Randy Car, Forrest Horton,
Kurt Hostetter, Chet Huffman, Joan Huffman, Ken MacChesney, Patti MacChesney, Roger Meyer, Hugh Mudd,
Savannah Robinson, Jeanette Stevens and Alice Swaim.
Too bad it had to rain Sunday morning, it really
made a mess out of our roads, motor homes left early; so they would not get stuck. Patti MacChesney did a very
good job cashiering at the SOB, it gave me a chance to do other things and visit with the people that ate at the SOB.
We want to thank Bob and Alice Swaim for donating a strainer, a Vidalia Chop Wizard, 4 ziploc containers with snap
and seal lids. We also want to thank Ken and Patti MacChesney for a real nice set of knives, a knife sharpener
and a cutting board, all donations were appreciated by us.
We were still open, Mike Stevens came by the SOB and gave me some money and said to keep the nachos and cheese coming.
They had a Mexican food party going on by the SOB. We were happy as there was not enough left over to freeze.
We
sent out the nachos and cheese, we had two tortillas left and made up a burrito and cut them in half. Then we
made a combination of a nacho salad and a nacho supreme and anything else we could think of. The food was enjoyed
by Bob and Sally Morley, Teri Canfield, Bruce Osterberg, Jeanette and Mike Stevens. After we closed Bud and I
went out and joined them. They were really having fun and laughing a lot, just having a good old time.
October Show
Bud and Barb Watson
The SOB will be open on Friday October 19, Saturday October 20 and Sunday October 21, Friday October 26, Saturday
October 27 and Sunday October 28, 2007. We are looking forward to our Show and hope that the weather is good
and we make a lot of money for our Museum.
If you would like to volunteer at the SOB, please call us at
we could sure use the
help.
Bud is doing better, but he over does it, and gets tired real easy. We are sure glad to be back,
into the swing of things again.
