Above far left and left:
Saturday August 23, 2008 (last year it was the 25th) I parked in our VAA (Volunteer Accommodation Area)
and walked back down towards the center of activities. After years operating D & H (Dar and Hal) BBQ Booth,
Dar Jewell has retired from that duty and been promoted. Also, Dar's wife of more than a half century, Beverly,
used to operate our Pepsi Booth located right next door to our Bar-B-Que booth. Anyway Dar and Bev have been
promoted, pictures later. Our Pepsi Booth has been renamed All American Dog House and is now operated by
Carolyn Hostetter (above, left) and her Mother JoAnn Horton, (above, right). Above right
Tricopolis Records have had a booth since at least 2005.
Above far left ad for 5 day January 2009 Bluegrass Cruise, above left, needa hat? above right:

Below: with the temperature and humidty both nearing triple digits, shade was a mighty Popular Commodity.
Below left Dar Jewell, and below right Dar is joined by his wife of over 50 years, Beverly. Dar and Bev have
been promoted to Goodwill Ambassadors. Dar told me that that black seat REALLY gets hot, that is why he is
sitting on a white towel. Below far right, and, below that far left: this woman waiting for her food at our SOB
serving window was dancing alone so vigorously that she caught my eye.
