Above Studio 4. The movie Friendly Persuasion was released decades before Dean Alling acquired his Minnie, above right and far right. Below far left, left and right Studio 7, The Time Machine circa 2002. Below far left you can see the green and white plastic number punch that is on a chain at each studio. Below far right hanging on the front of the Maxwell in our Museum II pictured yesterday.

Above: 10 AM and hot. I am sitting on a bench in the shade in front of our Assembly Building taking pictures with my telephoto lens. Below far left: The youngest Steam Team apprentice member Nicholas Foraker age ten, red shirt. With young Engineer Travis Durst white tee shirt. Proud Dad Stan Foraker left in antique golf cart. Below left and right: Virgil White's 1926 Model T Touring. Virgil just acquired this car a year ago. He had done a lot and plans more. He had to buy a new reproduction hood as it was missing when received. Anyway Virgil just did an engine overhaul to return everything to as new clearances. He had driven it only two miles noticing it was missing, so Virgil was changing the spark plugs. Below far right is the after market truck Model T engine that was in the car when Virgil got it.

Above far left: this is a stock cam, 8 valve, push rod Frontenac Conversion. Brothers Louis and Arthur Chevrolet designed and produced these after market heads in several versions. Virgil calls it a Commercial one inlet and three outlet engine designed for good breathing. The Chevrolet brothers also had kits with single and twin over head cams and overhead valves for four cylinder Model T engines. Above left and right demonstrating an after market power take off to drive an external belt drive wheel. In the background of above right picture you can see the stout exhaust on the Frontenac Conversion engine. Above far right Virgil shows a spark plug to a friend who drove up on his 1926 Ford Model T pickup truck. Virgil had shown me the spark plug already. It was wet and oily and black and there was no gap, source of Virgil's miss, plug # 1. Below far left Virgil's friends. Below left and right, complete model T stationary power unit. Virgil has been using this to power his Grist Mill for years. Below far right: engine for Virgil's 1927 TT with the Rowe Extended Frame Kit that these engines are mounted on.
Above far left and left Fordson Tractor Engine as a stationary power unit. Above right and far right: I have seen this tractor around with it's Lux Passenger Seating complete to seat belts and a foot rest. Below our new Assembly Building kitchen as Bake Shop. Please note the San Diego County Health department A rating. This is the same as every other venue like ours as well as restaurants and hotels all across California. Our other kitchens have been run under Ball Park Permits, where you have only limited use of the kitchens on a yearly basis.
Above far left, left and right here is that tractor with the nice back seat again. As before I am sitting across the road in the shade in front of our Assembly Building using telephoto. Above left, I had hoped to get a picture of him raising the seat, but then our yellow flower fields wagon drove by blocking my view. Above far right President Abraham Lincoln (aka William Peck) delivers The Gettysburg Address. I kept expecting him to turn around while delivering his speech, but he never did. Below far left: Carol and Scott Higgins operate their own 1916 16 HP -- 12 KW -- Russell. Below left and right: here come our Gift Shop Ladies. Below left, left to right, Trustee and Gift Shop Lady Honcho Glenda Garrison, Collen McCune center, Carol Volk right. Above far left National Anthem, Sheriff Dwight Reed in black, foreground. Above left Miss and Teen Vista and their courts made it. Did I mention that the temperature was now 108 degrees F in the shade. Above right and far right: both of these flower fields wagons are empty. BTW I am sitting down in our South of the Border restaurant patio shade. Below far left: Ms Whimplewart, our School Of Times Past School Marm makes her class toe the line. Below left: John Alling left, Nicholas Foraker age 10 center in red shirt, Travis Durst right. Below right and far right: interesting tractors. Above right and far right, below far left: Sally Green writes: "Antique Milk Wagon. For the last year and a half it has been restored and renovated by Bob Swaim, Sally and Phill Green. Contributing to the project were Mike Churchill, who rebuilt the original horse harness, Gerry Swenson, who donated the milk bottle carrier and bottles, the ever lovely Mrs. Whipplewart, who painstakingly recreated the ornate Museum Logo’s, and Chuck Alee who was always there to cheer us on." Below left: our 1918 Altman Taylor 30-60 gas tractor. Below right and far right. Power Horse.
