Hello from Carolyn and JoAnn at the Pepsi Booth!
Wow, the first weekend of this year's Harvest Fair was HOT! Thank goodness it cooled down the second weekend!
The Pepsi booth is a little oven inside and we had several fans a blowin'.
We have a few new food items to mention at the Pepsi booth. We've added assorted Danishes for those who
just can't seem to get up early enough to enjoy Morley's breakfast. The Danishes come in apple,
strawberry and cheese flavor. They are very yummy for $1.00 each.
We've had a lot of people asking for chips, so we've brought in the "Kettle Chip" brand. It's a nice
full bag for $1.25. We are testing out the flavors, "Natural" and "Mesquite" otherwise known as BBQ.
The "Natural" was the big hit at the Harvest Fair. We’ll see how it goes at Bluegrass.
We had a request for "sugar free" ice cream. Blue Bunny has a "no sugar added" ice cream,
but nothing "sugar free". We will continue researching this request.
We would like to give a special thanks to our manager, Forrest Horton - pictured on our
front cover. Forrest has been working in the
Pepsi booth for several years now. Actually, he worked the Pepsi booth with Bev before our family took it over.
Forrest is the one that showed us the ropes along with Bev’s help. You will find that Forrest is the
first one at the Pepsi booth during the Harvest Fair and Bluegrass. He gets up very early to get the
coffee started and much more.
For a young man, age 14, he’s extremely responsible and a
very hard worker. He keeps all of us in line! So, thank you Forrest for all your hard work and
dedication to the Pepsi booth! We couldn’t do it without you, Buddy!
We also want to thank all of our wonderful volunteers: Channing Horton, Guy Horton, Kurt Hostetter,
Sean Rough, Theresa Bullard, Tanner Zachery, Myra Biggs, Austin Goodwin, Chad, Hannah, and Pierce
and Nicolette Rough. It takes a lot of people to have the Pepsi booth run smoothly and efficiently.
Thank you all once again!
If there is anyone that would like to volunteer at the Pepsi booth, there is always something to do.
Each morning before the fair opens, we are always looking for help wiping down the tables in front
of the Pepsi booth and BBQ Pit. You are more than welcome to join us anytime, just stop on by!
Well, until Bluegrass, have a great summer!
THE PEPSI BOOTH IS GETTING A NAME CHANGE…
Carolyn Hostetter and JoAnn Horton
Our family has been talking about changing the name of the Pepsi booth (actually, it was
JoAnn’s wonderful idea!) JoAnn has discussed it with the necessary “head honchos” of
food services and they have given us the go ahead or “thumbs up” to do so. Sean Rough will be
making a new sign for us. Hopefully, it will be done by Bluegrass and if not, by October Harvest Fair.
The new name will be…

We know the name is long, so we plan to go by “the dog house”. We hope that everyone will embrace
the change as we have the new name come alive!
