Sisters Betty Keylon, left, and Joan Hollenitsch at our June 23, 2007 Potluck Dinner
News from the Campground
Joan Hollenitsch and Betty Keylon
Joan, John and I arrive one week before our show. Our marking crew is here and are ready to start. Curtis Fredrickson,
Craig Fredrickson, Terry Lupold, David and Ryan Bowman, and Debbie Sumrow. Debbie, you did a good job with the lines.
They also do the lines in the parking area and our overflow campground. Thanks to all, it means so much to us.
See you at Blue Grass.
I want to thank Bob Swaim for giving me the “Limo Cart” to use. It was great! I had people
coming and going. I also want to thank the guys that pushed me up the hills when I ran out of juice. I was okay on
level ground. It sure worked better than the one seater.
In case you didn’t notice Joan and I had real
chickens in our Cook Shack – thanks to Chet “The Pumpkin Man” Rappenport – Joan handled that chicken real well.
Thanks to our steamer operators Scott Higgins and Nick Rose who took us through the first show weekend and Carol
Higgins assisted Scott the second weekend. Our Cook Shack looks like it has been out in the fields too long.
I think we need to get that baling wire.
Thanks again to our farmers Jim Hickman, Andy McCune, Dale Moody
and our chicken thief Patrick Myers and our Sheriff for getting our chicken back. I can’t forget Honest Abe. He’s a
joy to have with us.
What a great time we had both Friday evenings. The Hot Dog dinner was great and our campers
sure enjoyed it. The ice cream was so good and all the trimmings – Wow! Thanks Mike and Jeanette. Also your crew did
great.
Our pot luck always has good food and the meat was very good thanks to Dar and Bob and their crew. Don’t forget
the corn – we sure enjoyed the band. Thanks to Max Steele and Richard White for playing and singing at our camp fire
Friday nights. Thanks to the part I enjoyed his poem about The Tractors. Earleen, thanks for all your help with
the campers. Keeping track of the names and license numbers. You do good in the Information Booth.
Thanks Richard
for your help when I needed it. Also Cecil for getting my camper settled. Ernie the squash was great, thanks.
Thanks Jeanette, the packets made our job much easier. Christie you did a great job. We had fun working with you.
Our best to Dan and Ashley Jaques on their new little one. Hope we can see him soon.
